Overshoot is a spring physics lab for interface motion. Tune stiffness, damping and mass, race your curve against a familiar easing, fling a card to set a real release velocity, then copy production-ready code — CSS linear() easing, cubic-bézier control points, Framer Motion springs or design tokens. Every curve is solved live in your browser: nothing is uploaded and no account is needed, though signing in lets you save curves to the cloud and hand out shareable spec links.
It is built for two people at once. Designers can feel their way to the right motion without writing a line of code, and carry the numbers straight into Figma’s custom spring easing or a bézier. Developers get exact, shippable output — the linear() exports run in current Chrome, Safari and Firefox, with a graceful fallback where support is missing, and a bézier that never crosses its target stays honest about it.
Overshoot is built by Dean Lynn, who ships most of his work on Base44 and spent too long describing motion in words people then had to guess at — this is the tool he wanted for that. It was made for the Base44 Redesign Rumble, on a starting canvas by Lilly Blick.
